VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Another twist in the ongoing saga over the future of BC’s auditor general.
There are reports John Doyle is up for a job in Australia.
Here in BC, Doyle has expressed frustration at the committee that launched a search for a new auditor general before offering him a two year extension, following public outcry.
However, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation is reporting Doyle is the lead candidate to become auditor general in that country’s state of Victoria.
The state’s Premier Ted Baillieu declined to reveal much when asked by Australian media. “All of those processes are underway, and as I have said before, when we have an announcement to make, we’ll make an announcement.”
Reports suggest an announcement could be made in the coming weeks.
Doyle has not yet spoken about this latest news.

If for some weird reason the BC Lying Liberals were to win the upcoming election then yes John Doyle should take the job in Australia. The BC Lying Liberals would never allow him to his job properly….
I don’t think BC MUST have Doyle as AG if he decides to go.
