Liberal cabinet minister refers to the NDP as “turds”

VICTORIA (NEWS1130) – The writ hasn’t even dropped yet, and things are already getting nasty in the lead-up to the provincial election.

A tweet from a Liberal cabinet minister’s account refers to the opposition New Democrats as “turds”.

“I am with the BCL Caucus tonight. Strange everyone seems to be getting along. Ok. Come on ndp turds. Bring it. # bcpoli,” reads the tweet posted by Community, Sport and Cultural Development Minister Bill Bennett.

The premier had some meetings with her cabinet and caucus last week after the ethnic vote scandal broke.

There’s been a lot of talk about the party, questioning Christy Clark’s leadership as premier.

Everyone came out of those meetings talking about a unified party that was ready to head into the election under Clark’s leadership.
