Mother of Rehtaeh Parsons to appear on Dr. Phil show

The mother of Rehtaeh Parson’s is in California this week to appear on an upcoming episode of Dr. Phil.
Leah Parsons is there to tell her daughter’s story, with part of the segment being taped Wednesday.
Parsons will then be in front of a live audience Thursday. It’s not known when the episode will air.
Her appearance on the show comes after the U.S. talk show host sent a tweet about Rehtaeh’s case that attracted a lot of angry replies, Phil McGraw tweeted the question “If a girl is drunk, is it OK to have sex with her?”.
Two 18-year-old men are facing child pornography charges in connection with the case and are scheduled to be back in court next month.
