Small plane crash in Fort Nelson

FORT NELSON (NEWS1130) – A small plane crashed on a street in the northern BC community of Fort Nelson.

It happened right outside a Kal Tire store, where Joey Matias works. “It was just another normal day, we were pulling out some vehicles and all of a sudden we started to hear a bit of commotion. Right on 44th and 55th, right at the corner of our building, a small plane went down.”

The pilot was the only person on board and was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

An engine fire is to blame for the plane going down.
