A look at the odds on who will win the 2015 Stanley Cup

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The Vancouver Canucks have gone with “Change is coming” as their marketing slogan for the upcoming season. But will that change really increase their chances of winning a Stanley Cup?

There’s not much Cup optimism in Vancouver, and odds on bodog.net reflect that. They list the Canucks at 28/1 for an improbable championship.

The Montreal Canadiens are the highest Canadian franchise on the list, listed at 20/1 to win their 25th Stanley Cup championship. The Maple Leafs, Senators, Jets, Flames, and Oilers are all projected with less of a chance than the Canucks on the list.

On the heels of re-signing franchise cornerstones Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane to identical $84-million contract extensions, the Chicago Blackhawks top the list. The ‘Hawks are 7/1 favourites to take home Lord Stanley for the third time in five years.

The team that beat them in last year’s Western Conference Final, the LA Kings, are right behind them at 9/1.
