Unwanted photographs being taken of children in West Vancouver

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Some people have been taking pictures of young kids playing at a local park in West Vancouver and police want to speak with them.
It’s happened several times over the last few weeks.
Police are concerned with an incident that happened on September 21st at John Lawson Children’s Water Park.
A man was seen talking with young kids and taking their pictures with a camera that had a high-powered lens.
Police add the man didn’t have prior consent from parents to take the photos.
It’s not a crime to take photographs of people in public, police just want to know why the pictures were taken.
