Concert crasher gets stuck in vent at PNE

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – A man could face charges after getting trapped in a vent system while trying to break into the Dooms Night 2014 event at the Pacific Coliseum.

Laura Ballance with the PNE says the man tried to gain access to the event and was kicked out by security staff before trying again.

“He later attempted to return to the event and gained access to the coliseum by prying open a vent duct, climbing into a vent and he got stuck, one of our staff heard him and we alerted authorities,” she explains. “Obviously this type of thing is a very unfortunate incident on what was a really good night but individuals sometimes make poor choices and I certainly think this was an example of that.”

She adds he was rescued by the Vancouver Fire Department early Saturday morning and after he was assessed by medics he was turned over to the VPD.
