LOS ANGELES (NEWS1130) – A Vancouver-born actress, dancer and TV personality is dead in an apparent murder-suicide in Los Angeles.

Stephanie Moseley, 30, was apparently shot and killed by her 34-year-old rapper husband, Earl Hayes before he turned the gun on himself.

LA PD detective Scott Masterson describes the crime scene.

“This morning LAPD officers working Wilshire Division received a 911 call of shots fired and a woman screaming. They responded to the location and made entry into the apartment and while inside they heard another gun shot. Swat officers from LAPD responded to the location and took over the containment of the apartment and continued their search in the apartment and while searching the apartment located two bodies, a male and female. Both were pronounced deceased by paramedics at the scene. The male suffered what appears to be a single gunshot wound to the head; the female received what appears to be several gunshot wounds to the body. At this time we are considering it a murder-suicide.”

VH1 has released a statement mourning the death of the dancer.

“We are incredibly saddened to hear the news of the passing of Stephanie Moseley,” the network said. “VH1 and the entire Hit The Floor family send our thoughts and condolences to her family and friends at this difficult time.”
