Woman killed in possible New West hit and run

NEW WESTMINSTER(NEWS1130) – Police are investigating a possible hit and run in New Westminster on Wednesday night.
A 52-year-old pedestrian was hit and killed by a tractor trailer on Brunette Avenue near East Columbia Street just before 9pm.
Police say the driver drove off and may not know he or she had hit someone.
The woman who was killed is from New West and her family have been notified.
The NWPD Collision Analysis Reconstruction Team were called out and have assumed conduct of the investigation.
If you witnessed what happened or are the truck driver involved the collision, you’re asked to call New Westminster Police.
Another pedestrian was hit on Main and Cordova Street in Vancouver.
She was taken to hospital in serious condition.
