News1130 teaming up with A Loving Spoonful for a charity drive December 18th

We here at News1130 are excited to be partnering with A Loving Spoonful this Christmas to spread some joy to people of all ages living with HIV/AIDS.

We hope you will join us next Thursday (December 18th) from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. at 1449 Powell Street (near McLean Drive) in Vancouver.

You can drop off a non-perishable food item or cash, which will go a long way to assisting local families.

News1130’s Tammy Moyer will be there all morning and can’t wit to meet you. Breakfast Television on City will also be with us for a great seasonal boost to your day.

McDonald’s is giving away muffins and we will also have a candy bar set up.

A Loving Spoonful has been around for decades and operates mainly with the help of volunteers and donations. Volunteers provide free, nutritious meals to people living with HIV/AIDS in the Vancouver area.

Every week, all year round for over 19 years, their volunteers have delivered approximately 1,200 frozen meals and over 250 snack packs to men, women and children who are primarily homebound with AIDS.
