SURREY (NEWS1130) – A Surrey man has been arrested in relation to a 2006 shooting that led to the death of another man.
Fushpinder Singh Brar has been charged with manslaughter, accused of shooting Mahdi Halane in the neck at a gas station on 96 Avenue in October of that year.
Cpl. Bert Paquet says Halane’s spinal cord was severed.
“He was left a quadriplegic until his death in 2012, which was attributed to the 2006 shooting.”
RCMP believe there are people out there with more information and are asking for them to come forward.
