New bus app helps make taking transit easier

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – If you’re leaving the car at home and taking the bus, there’s something that may make your trip easier.
Programmer Steve Veerman says the Busmaple.com app gives you a whole view of where every bus is in the city, in real time.
Though he uses TransLink‘s data, he says his app is different, as it doesn’t limit you to only looking at specific routes.
“If you have a really great map representation of a transit system, it’s an effective way to communicate how to get from point A to point B.”
Veerman believes it’ll make things more convenient for transit users.
“I kind of wanted to make the experience a little more pleasant, just a little easier to use, a little more intuitive. I want to continue to make the experience a little more positive.”
The free app can be used on mobile phones and computers.
