Mounties bust suspected drug lab in Burnaby

BURNABY (NEWS 1130) – Charges have been laid in relation to a counterfeit Oxycontin production facility.

Riley Goodwin will be heading to court after the raid of a lab that was capable for producing 18,000 fake pills laced with Fentanyl per hour.

Goodwin is charged with possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.

Cpl. Derek Westwick says the lab police found in complex. “I’ve been with the clandestine lab unit for six years, I’ve been to a number of different labs, pull operations, this one is as sophisticated as they come, and like I say, when I find pill-counters, this says that these people are producing large volumes.”

Police found a pill press, a cocaine press, and $35,000 in the home the 26-year-old was renting in Burnaby.
