Vancouver records first homicide of 2016

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – Vancouver police are investigating the city’s first homicide of 2016.

Const. Brian Montague says in a release a body was discovered in an apartment Saturday night on Granville Street near Broadway.

Police from the Major Crime Section are looking for evidence.

The team investigates all homicides and sudden deaths under suspicious circumstances.

Police say the attack is believed to be targeted.

He has been identified as 40-year-old Christopher Denis Kwik. He was not a resident of the apartment.
