Massive fire at Langley lumber yard

LANGLEY (NEWS 1130) – Fire crews in Langley spent much of the morning mopping up after a large blaze at a local lumber yard.

Flames were spotted at Country Lumber on Fraser Highway near 252nd around just before midnight.

Crews arrived to find a warehouse fully engulfed, and were hampered by the lack of fire hydrants in the area. No one was hurt but the business is expected to be out of service for about a week.

Investigators are still looking into how it started.
