Vancouver launches liquor law survey

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – The City of Vancouver has set up a survey for anyone who wants to share their opinions on when, where and how liquor is sold.

The province has made several changes, but we’ve yet to see most of them, like wine in grocery stores in Vancouver.

Chief Licence Inspector Andreea Toma says they want everyone to weigh in online. “What are some things that you know the businesses in the community and the residents in Vancouver and maybe even the visitors because we are not limiting in terms of who can take the survey and give us information. What is some of their expectations that they have of Vancouver?”

Toma says they want to hear from all groups so they can hopefully make changes most of them are happy with. “This is sort of our first gauge at it and we want to engage with the overall public and then we want to assess the information and then go back to say this is what we have heard. Did we get it right?”

The online survey closes May 15th and results will be shared with council.
