VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – The Good Noise Vancouver Gospel Choir is hosting a soul and gospel performance for on Saturday featuring 141 voices.

Dawn Pemberton will be backed up by 140 members of the Good Noise and White Rock Children’s Choir.

So expect a powerful performance.

“It’s a pretty big sound. It’s actually 90 voices of Good Noise Vancouver Gospel Choir and then 50 voices of the White Rock Children’s Choir. So we’re combining the two into a mass choir of 140 voices,” says Artistic Director Gail Suderman.

She says you can expect a mix of gospel and soul.

“Think of Aretha Franklin in the 1960s, Ray Charles. We are doing that style of music and we’re doing straight gospel too like Kirk Franklin, but also John Legend and Stevie Wonder.”

Suderman says tickets are selling out fast. You can find them here.
