Explosion at Abbotsford furniture factory

ABBOTSFORD (NEWS 1130) – A dust explosion at a furniture manufacturing plant this afternoon left Abbotsford firefighters singed, but not injured.
Crews responded to the industrial area of Peardonville Road just after 1 p.m. to find heavy smoke coming from a hopper in the rear of the building.
When they opened the hopper to access the blaze, dust ignited into a fireball, knocking over two of the firefighters. The explosion was caught on video by freelance videographer Kevin MacDonald.
The fire was then quickly brought under control. Nobody was injured.
