Power restored following massive outage in the Fraser Valley

FRASER VALLEY (NEWS 1130) – The power is back on for tens of thousands of people in the Fraser Valley.
It started because of a faulty transmission line. What happened to that line is still a mystery.
Simi Heer with BC Hydro says they were able to get power back on even without knowing the exact problem.
“We were able to do some switching on the system and switch service to other circuits and restore customers that way. As of about 4 o’clock we had power restored to all of our customers.”
At one point more than 58,000 customers were without power from Abbotsford stretching all the way out to Hope.
