Arrest made after stabbing spree in Vancouver

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – Police are investigating four assaults that happened just after 8:30 a.m. between West Broadway and Cambie Street, and Main Street and East 2nd Avenue.

Police were called to the intersection of West Broadway and Cambie Street, where they found a man who had been stabbed after a fight.

The suspect ran off east to West Broadway and Yukon Street, where police say he assaulted a second person. A third victim was then stabbed a short time later at Quebec Street and East 4th Avenue, followed by a fourth victim who was also stabbed at Main and East 2nd Avenue.

The VPD says a 33-year-old Vancouver man was caught by officers and taken into custody where he remains. Police believe he’s responsible for all four attacks.

Three people were taken to the hospital in serious condition earlier today. One of them has since been released.
