VALEMOUNT (NEWS 1130) – If all things go as planned, you could be taking in BC’s newest ski resort as early as next year.

The provincial government has just signed a master development agreement with the developers of the $100 million Valemount Glacier Destinations ski and sightseeing resort in the Robson Valley, just inside the BC border close to Jasper, Alberta.

Those behind the project say you’ll be able to strap on the boards year-round and enjoy a vertical drop of more than 2,000 metres – the biggest in North America.

The plans also include a village at the base with homes as well as hotel and commercial space.

With the addition of the Valemount Glacier Resort, there are now 37 mountain resorts in the province.
