New campaign to curb BC gang violence

By

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – A new multi-platform campaign has been unveiled with hopes of reducing gang-related violence across BC.

The “World Without Crime” program by Crime Stoppers encourages the use of social media to report suspicious behaviour.

Posters are going up in bars, restaurants, bus shelters and washrooms.

More than 500 billboards and radio and television ads are also part of the campaign.

Tips to Crime Stoppers, which offers cash for information leading to an arrest, are guaranteed to remain anonymous.
