Three fires in Vancouver overnight

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – Three separate fires burned across Metro Vancouver on Friday night, keeping crews busy at the start of the long weekend.

Two homes on East 6th Ave and Renfrew St went up in smoke. It was a three alarm fire and there are no reports of any injuries.

Meanwhile, fire crews are mopping up after a massive house fire in another part of East Vancouver. It happened at Lakewood Drive near 20th Avenue.

There are no reports of injuries at this point.

And a two-alarm house fire was ignited in the West Side.

Smoke coming from the home at West 24th near Dunbar could be seen from many points in Metro Vancouver on this clear night. No word on injuries or a cause at this point.
