ABBOTSFORD (NEWS 1130) – Two people have walked away from a small plane crash in the Fraser Valley.

Sgt. Judy Bird with the Abbotsford Police Department says it happened just before noon along Angus Campbell Road, east of Highway 11 and south of Highway 1.

“A Beechcraft 24 with two occupants landed in a farmer’s field after they were experiencing some problems,” she explains. “They lost power to their plane.”

Bird says the plane was on its way to Chilliwack.

“They had attempted to turn around and fly back to Abbotsford but when the plane lost power, they tried to land on Angus Campbell Road and ended up landing on the road but bounced into a farmer’s field.”

The APD and Transport Canada are now investigating.
