Minimal waits getting into concerts at BC Place & Rogers Arena

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – Two big concerts drew big crowds to downtown Vancouver Friday night, but fans managed to get in to both venues with minimal waits.

Despite people coming through by the thousands to BC Place to watch Coldplay, wait times to get through security was only a few minutes.

Two concert-goers from Brazil were waiting outside and say they came early because their friend admitted to missing out on U2’s show in May because they waited for hours in line.

“I think it’s awesome. This time it’s super-organized. We know what to do, we can get in, get out, all the gates are running smoothly, I’m super-happy.”

Country singer Miranda Lambert’s show across the street at Rogers Arena also had minimal waits to get in.

Both shows were scheduled to end at 11 p.m., the same time the nearby Parq Vancouver Casino’s grand-opening.
