Unsung Hero: Local woman works tirelessly to care for kids

By

NEW WESTMINSTER (NEWS 1130) – Congratulations to our Unsung Hero, Tania Hollings of New Westminster. She was nominated for the award by Carol-Ann Hart. Take a look at her story:

Tania Hollings is an amazing woman. Tania works tirelessly at KIDS Childcare (a non-profit society) in New Westminster giving great care and love to all of the children there. Tania always goes far beyond the call of duty making each person in the KIDS Childcare family feel special and valued.

She has been instrumental in the opening and successful operation of the Queensborough Community Centre site for KIDS Childcare. Tania supports her two children and her husband.

It has been difficult for Tania to support her family with the wages she earns. Sadly, earlier this year, Tania was diagnosed with breast cancer. She has undergone chemotherapy, surgery and radiation treatments, and will be unable to work for about one year.

Tania is an inspiring woman who is most deserving of this honour.

Alpine Credits is acknowledging Tania with $500 to say thanks for her efforts stepping up and is also making a $1,000 donation to the Ronald McDonald House Children’s Charity.
