Former BC Liberal party executive not guilty of crimes in Ontario

By

TORONTO (NEWS 1130) – The former executive director of the BC Liberals has been acquitted on charges dating back to when she worked for the premier of Ontario.

A judge in Toronto has ruled it’s possible Laura Miller did not know the deletion of several government documents linked to the cancellation of two gas-fired power plants in 2011 was a criminal act.

Co-accused David Livingston, who was former premier Dalton McGuinty’s chief of staff at the time, has been convicted of attempted mischief and illegal use of a computer.

The judge determined he knew exactly what he was doing.

Miller quit her job in BC last June, so she could go back to Ontario in time for the trial to start in September.
