Unsung Hero: Volunteer devotes time to several charities

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – The latest winner in the NEWS 1130 Unsung Hero contest is Laura Kirk of Vancouver.
Bob Nath nominated Kirk. Here is her story.
Laura is an incredible source of inspiration and energy. Tirelessly devoting time to the Canucks for Kids Fund, BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, Freemasons Cancer Car Program and Community Meal preparation program. She is a retired military person too.
Such great discipline and excellent work ethics. I’m sure there are other people who will agree with me that she should be recognized in some capacity. Thanks to you guys for providing this platform so we can nominate. Thank you.
I don’t think she’d ever brag but she alone is responsible for close to $200,000 sales of 50/50 tickets with the Canucks for Kids Fund at Rogers Arena.
Alpine Credits is acknowledging her with $500 to say thanks for her efforts. It’s also Hulu asks: ‘Is it time to examine how 9-11 happened?’donating $1,000 to the Ronald McDonald House Children’s Charity.
