Italian Day

Italian Day on The Drive represents the celebration of Italian culture and the contributions made to Vancouver by Italian immigrants and their children. A vibrant cultural street festival, Italian Day is a community driven event, attracting over 300,000 people and spanning 13 blocks along Commercial Drive in a day long celebration, while showcasing all that is Italian to Vancouver’s multi-cultural community of all ages. Like a piazza in full swing in a sea of green, white and red, the street comes alive with Italian musical performances, hands-on activities and games, vendors, patios, food and beverage tastings, street performers, classic vehicle exhibits and so much more.

Each year Italian Day includes a distinct signature theme; and for 2016, we invite guests to indulge Italians’ favourite past time – MANGIAMO (Let’s Eat) which represents much more than just eating.
